Melody Terms of Service
Effective date: August 6, 2026
Melody is a browser-based game operated by Raymond Miller under the RuneRock Interactive name. These terms govern your use of Melody. By creating an account or using Melody, you agree to these terms. If you cannot legally agree to them, do not use the service.
Early Access service
Melody is in Early Access. Features, levels, account limits, and availability may change as the game develops. We may fix, replace, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
Accounts and security
Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in methods secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless it results from a failure of Melody's own security. Do not sell, transfer, impersonate, or misuse an account.
Using Melody
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use Melody for its intended gameplay and level-creation features while you follow these terms. Melody, its software, art, audio, branding, and official content remain owned by their respective rights holders.
Your content
You keep ownership of original levels and other content you create. You give Melody a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, display, and distribute that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and present Melody and the content you choose to publish. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backup, safety, moderation, legal, and already-shared public records.
Only submit content you have the right to use. Public content may be viewed and played by other users. Feedback and suggestions may be used to improve Melody without an obligation to pay or implement them.
Acceptable use
Do not use Melody to:
- break the law, infringe rights, threaten people, or distribute harmful or deceptive content;
- harass users, evade moderation, manipulate ratings, or misrepresent identity or ownership;
- probe, disrupt, overload, bypass, or gain unauthorized access to the service or another account;
- introduce malicious code, automate abusive traffic, or misuse non-public service interfaces; or
- copy, resell, or exploit Melody beyond the permission these terms provide.
Moderation and account action
We may remove or restrict content, limit features, suspend an account, or end access when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users or the service, respond to legal obligations, or address security and abuse. Where practical, Melody will provide an explanation and a way to contact us.
Third-party services
Melody relies on third-party providers for services such as sign-in, hosting, email, security, and optional external support links. Their own terms and policies may apply when you use them. Melody is not responsible for independent third-party services outside its control.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Melody is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties that it will always be available, secure, or free of defects. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from Melody. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Melody changes. The revised terms will be posted here with a new effective date, and material changes may also be announced in Melody or through available account contact information. Continued use after the revised terms take effect means you accept them.
